Embryo Classification using AI
Embryologists skills, coupled with the precision and accuracy of an automated evaluation system, could improve IVF success rates by ensuring consistent results. This AI tool, LetoHealth, leverages a convolutional neural network model, aims to provide an accessible and inexpensive method of evaluating high quality embryos based on their morphological quality at 113 hours post insemination at day 5 culturation. A classification system with respective classes 1-5 would allow embryologists to have an organized system ranked by embryo health.
LetoHealth is a significant first step toward low-cost, personalized, targeted treatment for patients with infertility. It identifies a substantial disconnect in the treatment of patients with infertility in the current manual embryo selection process for transfer.
